Martin Osner's Fine Art Photography course is absolutely brilliant and it lifts the scales off your photographic eyes...if anyone would like to have an awe-inspiring, mind-blowing, eye-opening, inspirational, thought-provoking and soul-searching experience then come on one of these courses because you will never see photography in the same manner again. Apart from being fun, the creativity and methods that Martin uses in his teaching are easy to use and to understand and he has a lifetime of knowledge and experience which he freely shares... apart from all of that, both Martin and his lovely, and equally talented daughter Sam, are just such nice people, filled with passion for what they love doing best...teaching, photographing and creating exceptional works of art... I can strongly recommend any of their courses for anyone wanting to get a little more out of their photographic and artistic passion. For years I have been striving for the perfect photographs... now I am striving for the imperfect photographs...photographs that can turn into works of art...Oh yes...and the learning via Zoom from anywhere in the world is brilliant...it works so well.

Fine Art Photography Course | Getting Started

" I have been enjoying photography for twenty years now and have been actively involved in clubs and salons. A while back I just started losing my excitement for the medium and felt like everything I shot was "same old ... same old"  I booked on the workshop after seeing some pictures that a friend of mine was submitting after she attended Martin Osner's fine art course. My Mojo is back...should have done this long time ago. Thanks, Martin!"

Frequently asked questions

How many students are on a course?

Martin accepts no more than eight students per course. We keep the class size small to promote interaction and enchourage mentorship and relationship.

What camera equipment will I need to do the course?

You can use any camera, but we recommend either a DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) camera or a digital mirrorless camera.

Is the online course taught live, or is it pre-recorded?

Martin Osner teaches the course live.

I have never done art and I cannot draw or paint. It this a concern?

Not at all. The camera is going to be used to do create the foundation of the artwork and mixed media techniques are really easy and fun. There is an artist in everyone, this course will open up doors that you did not even know existed.

What is the cost of the course?

The full course cost ZAR 9500 which is approx. $ 650

What time is this course usually presented?

The classes start at 3pm (GMT +2) and is presented for about two and a half hours.

This journey does not require in-depth knowledge of photography; rather, it is more important that you have a desire to explore photography as an alternative creative medium within the framework of art.
